Sure, we'd all love to own a fancy Panavise for our PCB holding needs, but they come with that premium price tag. If you work on the odd solder job or tinker with proto PCBs occasionally, our budget Mini PCB Desk Vice is a wallet-friendly alternative.
The vice sits on a 120mm x 80mm white painted metal base, with soft feet for casual desk use, or tear those off and use the two mounting holes for a semi-permanent workshop vibe.
Clamping a PCB into the vice is easy - slot one end in to the adjustable holders (they slide along the rail to accommodate different size PCBs), then slide the central holder back (the spring provides tension) and tighten the thumb screw to lock everything in place.
The sprung central holder allows up to around 80mm PCBs to be fitted (spring at full tension), and you can go as wide as you like with the two adjustable holders (within reason, maybe ~200mm).
FYI the pretty dev board in the pics is our fancy Baguette S3. The green board is from our 4x6cm proto PCB pack.
PCBs not included!
