This camera HAT for Raspberry Pi uses hybrid microbolometer and thermopile pixel technology with an 80 x 62 pixel array, capturing the infrared distribution of objects in its field of view and translating this data into accurate surface temperature readings to generate thermal images. With a shutterless design, it operates continuously, streaming thermal video smoothly, making it an excellent fit for various industrial and intelligent control setups.
Compared to the standard Thermal Camera HAT, this model has an optimised internal filter and advanced image processing, resulting in a smaller 9 x 9mm lens and connecting via an FPC cable. It’s available in two versions: a basic version with a 45° field of view and a wide-angle version with a 90° field of view, catering to different imaging requirements (Please choose which version you want before adding it to the cart)
Each pixel is calibrated for uniformity, precise temperature readings, and with a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of 150mK RMS at a 1Hz refresh rate, it provides clear, sensitive thermal imaging. The HAT outputs thermal video at up to 25 frames per second, providing real-time visuals and precise thermal mapping in either standard or wide-angle view options.
