The Kitronik LED Strip is designed for low-power lighting, such as desk lamps or accent lights. There is no soldering required and connecting wires to the power supply terminal blocks requires minimal tools. Its small size makes it the perfect platform for designing lighting projects.
The board has terminal block-style power connectors for a solder-free experience at one end, and an on/off switch at the other for controlling power to the LEDs. Five white LEDs have a luminous intensity of ~8000mCd.
The PCB is approximately 50mm long, 12mm wide, and features a single, M3 mounting hole. The mounting hole allows you to fix the board securely to a surface or enclosure.
Power is provided via the solderless terminal block connectors. The board is rated for a max of 5V and care should be taken connecting power to the board. Supplying the board with more than 5V or connecting the supply in the wrong polarity will likely cause permanent damage. 3x AA batteries are needed for powering this board and a battery holder with flying leads offers the best way of connecting the batteries to it.
