This is the HiFiBerry Studio DAC/ADC for Raspberry Pi, with balanced XLR/6.5mm phone jack combo input and XLR output. Both input and output are fully balanced.
This board is perfect if you need to process analog audio on the Raspberry Pi and output it as well. It can be simply plugged onto your Raspberry Pi, without any soldering, and supports the HiFiBerry DSP add-on.
It is strongly recommended to mount this board into a solid metal case. Otherwise, mechanical stress while plugging/unplugging XLR connectors might damage the XLR connectors.
Note: There is no 48V pantom power available.
Features
Stereo input and output (external connectors only for one channel)
Hardware volume control for DAC and ADC. You can control the input and output parameters using “alsamixer” or any application that supports ALSA mixer controls.
Connects directly to the Raspberry Pi, no additional cables needed
No soldering, comes as a pre-fabricated kit. You just plug it onto the Raspberry Pi, it conforms to the Raspberry Pi hardware-attached-on-top (HAT) specification.
Compatible with all Raspberry Pi models with a 40-pin GPIO connector
Directly powered from the Raspberry Pi, no additional power supply
Three ultra-low-noise linear voltage regulators for optimal audio performance
Low-jitter dual-domain clock for optimised clock decoupling from the Raspberry Pi
HAT compliant, EEPROM for automatic configuration
XLR/1/4″ combo jack for input, XLR connector for output
Comes with all components required to mount it. We include 4x M2.5x12mm spacers to fix the board onto the Raspberry Pi
