If you’re working with an older projector, monitor, or display that only supports S-Video, and your device only has HDMI output, this adapter provides a simple conversion solution.
It converts an HDMI signal into S-Video for use with legacy equipment that lacks HDMI inputs. S-Video delivers improved picture quality compared to basic RCA composite (NTSC/PAL), as it keeps the brightness and colour signals separate. If your display accepts both formats, S-Video is the better choice. Keep in mind that analogue output still won’t match the clarity of HDMI, as it's inherently more prone to noise.
This small converter box accepts HDMI input and outputs either S-Video or Composite Video — selected via a built-in switch. Another switch allows you to toggle between NTSC and PAL video standards. With this setup, you can link HDMI-only devices to older TVs or monitors.
Included in the package are an AV cable, an S-Video cable, and a UK 5V DC power supply — everything required to get connected right away.
Please note: The unit can only output either Composite Video or S-Video at one time — not both simultaneously. Use the selector switch on the side to choose your preferred output.
