Set it up in the attic, where the antenna can see a little sky through a velux window.
cgps -s is reporting: seen 34, used 25 which I'm happy with

Works with the GPS hat. Uses a magnet to attach. In my case I want to attach it to grp so will presumably have to glue it on. Would be good if it came with an alternative fixing method

Not much to say - it works well on an indoor windowsill and seems to be a good standard. More epensive than some but you get what you pay for.

Usefully long cable on a GPS active antenna on flat base with strong magnet.
Works very well hooked up to a ublox receiver with the power for the antenna provided by the receiver.
Reception performance can be improved by placing the antenna on a metal surface (mine is a disc about the size of a CD) to act as a ground plane

Perfect for the GPS device, especially when I'm running my equipment indoors, but need an antenna outdoors to pick up a satellite signal -- it's plenty long enough to reach a good location.
