The Chain Blank is a Chain-series proto board with an 18 × 18 mm solder area and pass-through HY2.0-4P connectors for easy daisy-chaining. Remove the 0Ω resistors to route R1/R2 pins into custom circuits.
The Chain Blank is a DIY proto board expansion node in the M5Stack Chain series, designed for building custom circuits into Chain setups. The front of the module includes an 18 × 18 mm universal PCB prototyping area, giving you space to solder components and create your own add-ons.
Inside, the board comes pre-soldered with two HY2.0-4P connectors that are interconnected, allowing it to be daisy-chained directly with other Chain series modules without affecting their original functionality.
If you need to integrate a custom circuit into the Chain signal lines, the board also supports that. By removing the two 0Ω resistors that connect the communication pins R1 and R2, you can isolate the IO pins and then route them to your own circuits using soldering or jumper wires. This makes it easy to create more flexible, customised interactive projects while staying within the Chain ecosystem.
