This rugged outdoor Bluetooth location beacon from Seeed is designed for location-based services, navigation and asset tracking, and is especially suited for use with the SenseCAP T1000 Tracker. It supports both indoor and outdoor positioning while maintaining low power consumption.
While GPS works well for outdoor positioning, Bluetooth beacons offer a low-power alternative that enables accurate location tracking indoors and outdoors. When combined with the SenseCAP T1000, a compact LoRaWAN® tracker that supports GNSS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, it’s possible to build a flexible and reliable indoor/outdoor positioning system.
By deploying Bluetooth beacons across the target area, the tracker can receive beacon signals and determine location with meter-level accuracy (approximately 2–3 metres). This setup supports applications such as asset tracking, route planning, and reverse car search, and can be integrated into mobile apps or mini-programs for real-time location services.
