These Mini Heat Sinks provide a simple way to improve cooling for compact surface-mount components, helping to dissipate heat from ICs, regulators, motor drivers, and other power-hungry devices.
If you want to heat sink a SoC, motor driver, linear regulator, FET or other surface-mount package part, you might find yourself struggling to find a good heat sink. These Adafruitextra-tall and extra-smallmini heat sinks are easy to use and give you an extra thermal boost.
The heat sink is a 6.75mm x 6.75mm square with 3 tall 'fins' sticking out the top. The total height is 10mm but you can easily file it down if you need a shorter heat sink to fit in a case. Simply use the thermal tape included on the bottom of the heat sink. Ideal for medium flat BGAs, TSSOPs, QFNs, etc!
There is no datasheet for these heat sinks, but we believe the thermal resistance is approximately 80ºC/W.
