The M5Stack Add-on Display In for PoE-P4 adds HDMI video input to the Unit PoE-P4, converting video to MIPI CSI for capture and processing, with microSD storage and a USB Type-A port for peripherals.

The M5Stack Add-on Display In For PoE-P4 is an HDMI video input expansion module designed for Unit PoE-P4.

Built around the LT6911D chip, it converts HDMI video signals from external devices into 2-Lane MIPI CSI signals and transmits them to Unit PoE-P4, enabling the host controller to capture, process, and analyse video.

In addition to video input, the module provides peripheral connectivity and local storage expansion. The onboard microSD slot connects to the host controller's SDIO bus for storing captured video, images, and related data, while the onboard USB Type-A port supports peripherals such as mice and keyboards.

Video, control, storage, and USB signals are routed to Unit PoE-P4 through a 24P FPC interface. The module is suitable for HDMI video capture, image processing and analysis, machine vision, video surveillance, and embedded multimedia terminals.

Features

  • HDMI video input expansion module for Unit PoE-P4
  • HDMI to MIPI CSI video input conversion based on LT6911D
  • Standard HDMI Type-A input for quick connection to external HDMI video sources
  • Onboard microSD slot connected to the host controller's SDIO bus for local storage of captured video, images, and related data
  • Onboard USB Type-A port supporting peripherals such as mice and keyboards
  • Supports integrated applications combining video capture, image processing, peripheral connectivity, and local storage
  • Supports 1280 x 720 @ 60Hz and 1920 x 1080 @ 30Hz input resolutions

**Please note that because GPU scaling is enabled by default on Windows and macOS, the actual output resolution signal may differ from the resolution configured in the system, which may prevent the program from operating correctly:

  • Windows: Configure the graphics driver to output the target resolution signal correctly.
  • macOS: Use a third-party tool to force the corresponding output resolution for correct display.
