This cable plugs directly into your Raspberry Pi's 3.5mm jack and splits the signal into standard composite connections - red and white for audio and a single yellow composite video connection.

Also known as RCA connections, the composite ends can be plugged into your audio/visual system as another option for hooking your Raspberry Pi if HDMI isn't suitable for your project. The cable is approximately 5 feet long.

Remember to change the sound source, as your Raspberry Pi will likely still be pushing audio to the HDMI connection. To do this, right-click on the sound icon and select your audio device there. You can also select audio devices in the terminal via 'sudo raspi-config', selecting 'Advanced Options' then 'Audio'.

Pinout

From the sleeve to the tip in order: VIDEO (Sleeve) - GND - RIGHT AUDIO - LEFT AUDIO (Tip)

A/V and RCA (Composite Video, Audio) Cable for Raspberry Pi
Really good quality cable. I use this in conjunction with an old pi3 which is a video synth. So i wanted a decent cable for the device and this definately fits the bill.

A/V and RCA (Composite Video, Audio) Cable for Raspberry Pi
The cable plugs into the audio port on the Pi and (after some adjustment to the config file) you get composite A/V output. It works really well and the image output was crisp and clear on my CRT TV; I only needed to add a composite SCART adapter to make the connections at the back, but it works perfectly.

The best cable to use if you want composite out on your Pi, is wired correctly to produce an image unlike alot of other available cables.

Works great. Very easy to set up after watching a quick YouTube video. Makes my retro video games look awesome on my old CRT TV. Would truly recommend if you are looking for an affordable option. Looking forward to many hours of use on my old TV.
