Add data entry, passwords and more to your projects with this numeric matrix keypad.
The keypad has sixteen buttons in an old-school telephone-style grid. Each button is connected to a matrix so you can use 8 GPIO on your microcontroller of choice to scan through the pad for entry.
Either solder thin wires directly to the pads, or fit some 2.54mm/01" headers and solder them downwards for using with a breadboard.
Adafruit have a great tutorial for using this style of matrix over on their website
We also sell a 3x4 version of this matrix keypad
From the left there are four row pins followed by four column pins.
