4-Channel PCIe Expander HAT for Raspberry Pi 5

This HAT takes the PCIe connection from your Raspberry Pi 5 and provides four Gen2 PCIe connections in return, allowing you to use and stack multiple PCIe HATs and devices.

It uses an ASMedia ASM1184e chip to expand one PCIe port to four, with a heatsink included in the package to keep the chip at good operating temperatures. Each PCIe port has a slot/cut-out in the PCB to allow passing of cables up or down, meaning this board can sit in the middle of a stack (as long as the cable from the Pi's PCIe port can reach.

The board is in the familiar 'HAT' format, and mounts on to your Raspberry Pi 5 via the GPIO header and corner mounting holes. An onboard power LED provides indication on the power state.

Included in the package: GPIO pass-through header, 5x 40mm PCIe cables, 5x 70mm PCIe cables, fixings/standoffs and a heatsink for the expander chip. Raspberry Pi and HATs not included

Important

• The PCIe channel is shared across all connected devices and runs at Gen2 rates - please bear this in mind for high-speed devices, as you may experience a reduction in performance.
• Please pay close attention to the orientation of the PCIe cables, referring to the product documentation for guidance.
