This 10.85" e-Paper Display (G) shows red, yellow, black, and white at 1360×480 resolution. Includes a Raspberry Pi HAT with 3.3V/5V support and SPI interface for other dev boards. Power-efficient with no backlight - refresh only when needed!
This 10.85" e-Paper display (G) offers a 1360x480 resolution and supports four colours: red, yellow, black and white. It comes with a HAT to connect to Raspberry Pi, however can also connect via SPI to a wide range of other platforms, including Arduino and ESP32, with the included cable.
Like all e-Paper displays, it uses microcapsule electrophoretic technology to reflect ambient light - similar to traditional ink on paper - meaning it can be viewed clearly under natural or artificial light without a backlight. The display consumes power only when refreshing and retains its image without power, making it ideal for static or low-refresh applications.
This variant includes the Waveshare e-Paper Driver HAT, which provides a Raspberry Pi-compatible SPI interface, HAT+ standard GPIO header, and onboard voltage translation for use with both 3.3V and 5V MCUs. Note that the full refresh time is approximately 21 seconds, and partial refresh is not supported.
Online resources are available, including the HAT circuit diagram and example code for supported platforms.
