2.9" Black/White E-Ink E-Paper Display Module for Raspberry Pi Pico (296×128)
Arrived quickly and basically works, but readers should be aware that "partial updates" only seem to work after a previous "full update" IN THE SAME SESSION.
So for example, you cannot "start the device up and only do partial updates then sleep" - you must have at least one full update in the power-on cycle. Without this full update, the display memory appears corrupted by the sleep cycle, even if your "partial update" is the full screen.
In my tests a full update only takes 2.2seconds however.

2.9" Black/White E-Ink E-Paper Display Module for Raspberry Pi Pico (296×128)
!* No circuit python support *!
The 2.9" Black/White E-Ink E-Paper Display Module for Raspberry Pi Pico is a crisp display, which is fast to update (for E-paper).
The mounting board is convenient to mount a pico using male headers - but provides enough room for you to break out unused GPI pins.
The waveshare provided code examples work easily with micro-python.
The drawback of this unit is a (current) lack of support for circuit python. I'm sure this problem will be solved in time, but as of May 2021 this screen cannot be used with circuit python libraries (such as HID support, gfx etc...).
