We designed this USB-A to USB-C switch to allow you to power your Raspberry Pi 4 from USB sources with the flexibility and convenience of a power switch.
Perfect for projects running from power bricks, power banks or other sources with a USB output, this cable has a USB-A male connection on one end and a USB-C male connection on the other.
The cable removes the need to pull the USB-C connector out of your Raspberry Pi every time you want to power up/down. Handy!
To turn your Raspberry Pi back on again, just click the switch - simple! The switch has a nice rubber feel and a solid 'click-on-click-off' action and includes a little red LED power indicator.
The entire cable (including connectors) is just ~31cm long so it's never far from your Raspberry Pi.
Please Note:
We always recommend the official Raspberry Pi USB-C power supply for powering a Raspberry Pi 4, but we know many of our customers use different power sources for their projects. That's why we made this cable.
However, if you're using this cable, just remember that the Raspberry Pi may need up to 2.5-3A to function properly, so make sure your USB power source is up to the job (or take measures to reduce your Raspberry Pi's power consumption)!
