This is a Raspberry Pi LoRa HAT based on SX1268, covers 433MHz frequency band, and is designed for use in the Asia, Europe, Africa, Australia regions. It allows data transmission up to 5km through the serial port.

By utilizing the new generation LoRa spread spectrum modulation technology, this module is capable of communication between modules up to 5km away, and also supports auto repeating to transmit over longer distances. Other features include wake on radio, wireless configuration, carrier sensing, communication key, etc.

When compared with normal LoRa modules, the SX1268 LoRa HAT achieves longer communication distance, higher rate, lower power consumption, better safety and better anti-interference technology. It is suitable for various applications such as industrial control, smart home, data collection, etc.

Note: The Raspberry Pi boards are NOT included

Features

  • Standard Raspberry Pi 40-PIN GPIO extension header, supports Raspberry Pi series boards
  • Onboard CP2102 USB TO UART converter, for serial debugging
  • Utilizes the UART control interface, for connecting host boards like Arduino/STM32
  • 4x LED indicators
  • LoRa spread spectrum modulation technology, up to 84 available signal channel, longer communication distance, more robust to interference
  • Auto multi-level repeating makes ultra long range communication easy, allows multiple networks on the same region
  • Low power consumption features like deep sleep and Wake on Radio, ideal for battery-powered applications
  • Customizable communication key which cannot be retrieved, greatly improves the security of user data
  • Supports LBT, and monitors the signal channel noise before transmitting to greatly improve the success of ratio transmitions under extreme environmental conditions
  • Supports RSSI signal intensity indicating, for evaluating signal quality and tuning the network for better performance
  • Supports wireless parameter configuration by sending a wireless command/data packet allowing for remote configuration or retrieve the module's current configuration
  • Supports fixed-point transmission, broadcast, signal channel monitor
  • Comes with development resources and manual (examples for Raspberry Pi/STM32)
