Create your own compact colourful displays with text, shapes and sequences with this 64x64 2.5mm pitch RGB LED Matrix panel from Waveshare.
This LED matrix panel contains 4096 individual RGB LEDs which you can control with your favourite compatible microcontroller. The matrix has 64x64 LEDs with a 2.5mm pitch, suitable for text, animations and more.
The 160x160mm panel includes two HUB75 headers for data, one for input and another for output, which allows you to chain multiple panels together for even larger displays - just keep an eye on current usage and ensure you have an adequate power supply. Power is fed to the unit via the central VCC/GND header.
The LED matrix comes with cables and accessories (see the image below under the Package Contents section). The product wiki includes some demo code and wiring instructions to help you get started with a Raspberry Pi Pico, Arduino Mega and ESP boards!
A 5V 4A power supply is recommended.

I’m very happy with this panel. I bought it to play around with and it seems great, it came with all the wires needed - just connect it to a board (I use MatrixPortal S3 which has the connector preordered). I’ve got nothing to compare it to but it seems good quality - very bright and has a good range of colours. I’d recommend controlling this from Arduino rather than CircuitPython if you want the best quality, performance is much higher and you can use 12 bit colour which avoids banding.

I bought this as a gift. What I didn't realise is it needed an extra peripheral to connect to a Pi. Also I'm told it doesn't work with Raspi5 just yet.

Very good. Bright output. So bright I had to turn it down on software. Using the Adafruit bonnet (make sure you use the software link for that, not the software link for this panel). I've built a tide clock. Also making a wooden frame to hold it. Very happy.

High quality and good price, bright display, a little hard to set up but it’s all working well with my RPi 3B

These panels are ace. They are well packaged and come with all the necessary fixings.
I took one out of the box and connected an already programmed esp32 in the back and voila worked first time. They are a great price too.
