Pipe audio in or out of your project with this very handy panel mount audio jack. It's a mono jack with a disconnect pin so you'll get a ground sleeve pin, a left tip pin and a pin that will be disconnected when a jack is inserted. You can use any 3.5mm audio cable with this jack.
Each jack comes with two solder eyelets and a panel mounting hex-nut. They made of all-metal construction with paper phenolic spacers.
3.5mm connectors don't have to be used only for audio! They make great general-purpose connectors where you need a ground plus signal wire and cheap, common cables. For example, in accessibility tech, these are often used to connect buttons or low voltage actuators.
