The 52Pi NVDigi is a versatile expansion board designed for the Raspberry Pi 5, combining Digi+ audio capabilities for high-quality S/PDIF audio output and an M.2 PCIe x1 slot to accommodate NVMe 2242/2230 SSDs.

The board offers both an optical output (TOSLink) and an electrical output featuring an RCA port. It also includes an IR receiver (pin 22, GPIO 25).

Some simple setup is required, using the existing HiFiBerry dtoverlay in Raspberry Pi OS. Please see the Wiki for assembly and setup instructions.

NVME Compatibility

Some customers have reported compatibility issues with certain brands/models of NVME drives with Raspberry Pi 5.

No 'official' compatibility list is maintained by 52Pi or Raspberry Pi (yet), so we suggest following the same compatibility list on the Pimoroni NVME Base page as a starting point until something official is shared.
