Popular ESP8266 and ESP32-based modules are used in many IoT applications like home automation, smart lighting, smart metering, remote control and more. You can find a lot of ready-to-use projects on the Internet for these ESP-based boards.

This AZ-Touch ESP touchscreen enclosure kit is designed especially for wall mounting such projects, complete with an ESP32 Dev Kit C module, 2.8" resistive touchscreen display, built-in regulator (9-35VDC), custom housing and lots of additional features (see more on the below) to help you make a comprehensive home automation panel!

Create an interface for your Home Automation system that subtly blends into your home.

Note: Some soldering and assembly required

Touchscreen

The kit includes a 2.8" resistive touchscreen with an integrated ILI9341 display controller handling communication via SPI. The touch controller is based on the XPT2046 with a resistive touch panel.

Compatibility

The AZ-Touch ESP can be used together with the included ESP32 Dev Kit C or your own Wemos D1 Mini.

Vertical and horizontal mounting

Depending on your project and software, you can mount the enclosure set vertically or horizontally directly on the wall or in front of a flush wall mount box.

Easy connections

A removable terminal block makes installation easier. The PCBs are mounted on the enclosure allowing a rapid substitution of the devices when needed and facilitating the assembling/disassembling of the enclosure.

Power Supply

The AZ-Touch PCB comes with an integrated switching regulator for voltages from 9 to 35V DC. You can connect the power supply via the terminal or an optional DC socket.

Acoustics

The integrated piezo buzzer (resonance frequency 4kHz) can be used to generate acoustic feedback or acknowledgement tones or melodies.

Own circuits

A small proto area at the top of the PCB can be used for your own extensions. Four poles of the terminal are connected together with some GPIOs and the voltages with solder joints beside the breadboard (see datasheet and schematic for pins).
