This 8" HD Capacitive Touchscreen Display for the Raspberry Pi is ideal for projects that require a high-definition display with touch input. This display has the added benefit of using the same DSI interface as the Official Raspberry Pi Display.
Data connectivity is provided via the Raspberry Pi's onboard DSI port, meaning no bulky HDMI cables! The display features a 1280x800 resolution and ten-point capacitive touch (system/OS dependant) which is controlled by I2C via Pogo pins, keeping your GPIO header completely free and powering the display at the same time.
The Pogo pins also provide power for the entire system. Simply power your Raspberry Pi (ideally using an Offical Raspberry Pi power supply) and the pins will provide power for the display as well - no separate PSU required. Ace!
On the rear of the display, you'll find a 5V/GND output header for a fan or other 5V low-power devices, a separate data/power supply header (used when mounting the Raspberry Pi away from the display), touch port selection switch and a USB-C port for power (used when powering separately). There is also mounting hardware to attach the Raspberry Pi directly to the unit, with a slim bezel that makes it suitable for mounting into your own enclosure.
Raspberry Pi 5, 4B, 3B and 3B+ are supported. Online support material is available to help you configure your Raspberry Pi for the display.
