PTZ is an abbreviation for Pan, Tilt and Zoom and reflects the movement options of a camera. This Arducam OV5647 PTZ camera and matching controller board are capable of remote directional** and zoom control, giving you a new way to make awesome photography and monitoring projects with your Raspberry Pi!
To use this camera with a Raspberry Pi 5, you will need to buy this adapter cable!
To use this camera with a Raspberry Pi Zero, you will need to buy this adapter cable!
Adding PTZ to your Raspberry Pi camera project means a single camera can be used to monitor places that would normally be covered by multiple units. Great for surveillance and monitoring, like pet monitors, outbuilding cameras and more.
With its moveable lens, you will also be able to zoom the camera to see a specific area that you are interested in.
**IMPORTANT: You will need to purchase a matching Pan/Tilt servo/chassis kit for directional control, unless you are planning on making your own solution. This item includes the camera and controller board only.
