This camera module features a long-wave infrared design that has a hybrid technology combining a microbolometer and thermopile pixels. With an 80 x 62 pixel IR array and a 45° field of view, it detects the IR distribution of objects, calculates their surface temperatures, and generates detailed thermal images. Its shutterless design allows for continuous operation and a thermal imaging video stream, providing uninterrupted monitoring and diagnostics. It is equipped with a Raspberry Pi 40-pin GPIO header, providing compatibility and ease of integration with Raspberry Pi projects.
The camera has impressive sensitivity with a Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) of 150mK RMS at a 1Hz refresh rate and can deliver a thermal imaging video stream at up to 25 frames per second for clear results. It is ideal for a wide range of projects, from security surveillance to environmental monitoring.
It comes fully supported with online resources and manuals, including a Python demo for Raspberry Pi and compatibility with Android and Windows host computers, making it a versatile choice for anyone looking to add advanced thermal imaging to their projects.
We also have a USB-C version in the store
