If you're into arcade gaming, there's no doubt that you've heard of Sanwa. The Sanwa SDM-18 range are round 18mm arcade buttons with built-in microswitches and 2.8mm terminals. These buttons feature two plastic securing lugs on each side of the housing to secure the button into a panel with a thickness of between 0.5mm and 2mm. Your mounting hole should be ~17.8mm.
These are normally used as selection, service and test buttons - but hey, it's a switch and it's your project, use it however you want!
